In the Huddle at Foothill High School in Bakersfield, CA

Each episode of In the Huddle takes place at a different Kern High School campus, and opens with the principal of that site to set the tone.
The show then focuses on student interviews. Whether it's a student-athlete, musician, or ASB member, the In the Huddle team collaborates with school site administrators to select the very best representatives for their campus.

In the final quarter, the team invites the head football coach and team captain to do game picks.
On Fridays, in Fall, is when In the Huddle gains the most momentum. The game picks section produces immense school pride and excitement following school rallies and leading each campus into their evening events before competing under the Friday night lights.

PEAAK Awards
A districtwide annual awards campaign celebrating excellence across the Kern High School District.
The project includes yearlong planning, storytelling, and creative production leading up to a weeklong social media rollout.
The event features original video work showcasing 350+ nominees, a printed program, live coverage, and digital follow-up content.
Roles: Campaign Planning, Program Writing/Editing, Video Production, Social Media Graphics & Coordination, Post-event Engagement
Event Program
Part of the campaign planning begins with selecting the categories available for nomination.
These categories are carefully selected to be all-inclusive of the programs offered throughout the KHSD. This allows each of the over 42,000 high school students an opportunity to be nominated by KHSD staff.
Categories are written and approved by each department's directors and are then sent out to every administrator, teacher, and staff member districtwide to begin nominating students/groups/clubs.

Over 350 nominees are submitted during a one month nomination period. Media from each nominee is collected, and organized to ensure each student-nominee is represented and able to be fairly judged as a contender in their respective category.
These pieces of media are used to create the PEAAK video that is shown during the awards ceremony. The video promotes school pride during the ceremony as invited guests celebrate nominees from their school site.
