"Don't judge a book by its cover" it's a metaphor that only applies to first impressions. In the packaging world, the quote should be: "Don't judge a book by its cover, ONLY." To me, first impressions are essential to any brand; from labels to boxes, they all say something about who is selling to us, and no matter what, we should use the advertising space and make the best of it. I've had the opportunity to work on a few packaging projects, and this past week I found one of my favorite projects in stores. WICKOLOGY™ is a candle line designed by Hobby Lobby's In House department; designed for a specific target and influenced by nature and sophisticated fragrances. I had a lot of fun working on this project, and I hope that the end result showcases it!
